The Central Data Processing of the Tax Administration is the IT service and competence center of the tax administration of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is located in Koblenz.

The tasks to be performed include in particular

  • Administration, monitoring and maintenance of the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment including the necessary infrastructure
  • Administration and maintenance of provisioned Citrix terminal servers with automated software distribution via CA Client Automation
  • Design, selection and administration of the eLux thin clients using Scout Enterprise
  • Administration and support of Ivanti Application Control for the terminal servers
  • Responsible implementation of IT security measures in the area of responsibility
  • Collaboration in 3rd. Level support for hardware and software problems
  • Documentation and continuous further development of the IT infrastructure with a focus on Windows Terminal Server, Citrix, ThinClients, Scout-Enterprise and CA Client Automation
  • Collaboration and implementation of IT projects

What you should bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or comparable degree
  • Knowledge of current Windows server operating systems and architectures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as DHCP, DNS, GPO, PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Citrix technologies
  • Knowledge in the area of software distribution
  • Knowledge of Linux (ideally eLux)
  • Knowledge of network technologies, network protocols, VPN, IPv4 and IPv6
  • Knowledge of dealing with complex, overarching error situations
  • Knowledge and practical experience in the use of common programming and scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Batch, AutoIT)
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German (language level: competent use of language C1/C2)

This is a permanent, open-ended position. Extensive training in the topics and tasks will be provided by experienced colleagues.

The recruitment takes place in an employment relationship if the collective bargaining and personal requirements are met, a classification up to pay group E 10 TV-L can be made. If you are suitably qualified and meet the requirements under civil service law, it may be possible to become a civil servant at a later date.
