As VAT Manager you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and optimizing VAT processes for the organization.

  • Ensuring compliance with VAT regulations across all business areas and jurisdictions and providing guidance to other departments on VAT matters
  • Managing the preparation, filing, and payment of VAT returns, including managing internal controls and processes related to VAT
  • Identifying and implementing VAT planning opportunities to minimize the organization's VAT liability and maximize VAT recovery
  • Ensuring accurate and timely VAT reporting, including reviewing and reconciling VAT accounts and preparing VAT reports for management
  • Monitoring changes in VAT regulations and advising the organization on the potential impact of these changes on its operations
  • Supporting VAT audits and responding to queries and requests from tax authorities and other stakeholders
  • Providing training and guidance to finance and non-finance staff on VAT matters
  • Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tax advisors and auditors
  • Develop and implement VAT transformation strategies to optimize the VAT function within the organization
  • Analyze VAT processes and identify areas for improvement, including automation and streamlining of VAT procedures

The role requires extensive knowledge of VAT laws, tax accounting, and reporting requirements, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field
  • At least ⚠-⚠ years of experience in VAT compliance, preferably in a multinational company or professional services firm
  • In-depth knowledge of VAT laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across different countries and regions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement efficient VAT processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • English Fluent level is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (for instance SAP) is a plus
