Robert Half is currently looking for a Commercial Controller for a permanent position based in Diegem.

Our client is a well-known company, part of an international group active in the FMCG industry.

As Commercial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Support forecasts, planning and annual statements on level of turnover, discounts and sales & marketing budgets;
• Make the year-end closing of the different customer accounts (accruals) and final year settlement;
• Budget follow up for discounts and sales & marketing budgets;
• Optimize the existing processes together with the relevant departments involved;
• Resolve differences with the customer in close collaboration with the sales department for the Retail as well for the Professional division;
• Internal reporting to the management regarding sales figures and commercial budgets;
• Execute variance analysis incl. comments compared to previous year, budget and latest forecast;
• Evaluate and approve all sales related documents (e.g. invoices, CN);
• Verify the discount built up in the different systems.
• Evaluate contracts and contract proposals;
• Verify and approve the translation of the contracts into the correct type of discounts;
• Check the translated and approved conditions in SAP;
• SAP BW Key User + Key User for the tool that manages the sales contracts

The required profile for the Commercial Controller position:

• Master in Business Administration, Accounting, Tax or similar;
• First relevant work experience in audit or controlling;
• Fluent in Dutch and French + working knowledges in English;
• Good IT knowledge (MS Excel, SAP R/3 and SAP BW);
• Ability to collaborate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes;
• Ability to partner with leadership to drive the translation of strategic goals into actionable/measurable business plans;
• High level of curiosity and inter-personal skills, can challenge constructively;
• Ability to communicate with impact;
• Team player with a positive outlook.
