For our client, an expert in energy markets located in West Flanders, with remote/hybrid working flexibility, we are looking for an Energy Consultant/Procurement Expert with or without specific experience.

In this role, you will be part of an international consultants team, and you will focus on the Dutch-speaking market.

You will get to know this exciting and fast-evolving market particularly well and follow it closely, with the aim of assisting and guiding your clients, large international companies, in making decisions.

You will not only be of great value to your clients as an energy procurement consultant, but also guide them in their transition to a green and sustainable energy management.

What will you do?

You will manage your own client portfolio in Belgium and the Netherlands, enjoying a high degree of independence in organizing your work.
Half of your time will go to client interactions (with procurement and/or management teams). Through these meetings, you'll be able to guide and advise your clients in all facets of energy procurement.

Who are we looking for?

Essential Skills:

• Ability to proficiently ANALYSE and SYNTHESIZE data for both clients and colleagues.
• Effective COMMUNICATION SKILLS to build trust and persuade clients to follow your advice.
• Ability to MULTITASK and maintain a structured OVERVIEW of priorities and deadlines.
• Taking ACCOUNTABILITY by independently seizing initiative to set and attain goals.
• Being RESILIENT to a fast-paced and ever-changing industry.
• Beging able to come up with CREATIVE SOLUTIONS to meet the challenges faced.

Other requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g. finance, energy, business management,..)
• Solid experience in a consultancy and/or service environment, preferably in the energy sector, with a client-facing role.
• C⚠ level in English and proficient level of Dutch (for supplier negotiations, market analysis, and client meetings,)
• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally for meetings, team events, and training.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

• De uitvoering van de aankoopcontracten tot aan de betaling opvolgen (hoeveelheid, kwaliteit, leveringstermijnen, ...)
• Geschillendossiers behandelen (oplossing van geschillen, behandeling van klachten, ...)
• Gegevens actualiseren (markttendensen, nieuwe producten, referenties van de leveranciers, ...)
• Prijzen en leveringstermijnen van producten onderhandelen met de leveranciers
• Opvolggegevens van aankopen registreren en het jaarverslag opstellen
• De bevoorradingsbehoeften van de onderneming identificeren en de markt van de leveranciers en producten prospecteren of analyseren
• Aanbestedingen of lastenboeken voor leveranciers of dienstverleners opstellen
• De aankoopstrategie van een onderneming uitwerken of verder uitbouwen
