We are currently seeking an experienced Cobol Developer & Analyst to join our client's team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks and should possess the following skills:

Your Skills & Daily Tasks:

• Proficiency in Cobol (Microfocus) programming.
• Experience with SQL / PL-SQL is a desirable additional skill.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and align with the business requirements.
• Capable of actively participating in projects and implementing new features seamlessly.
• Effortlessly provide accurate time estimations to ensure smooth project execution.
• Proactive in identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
• Conduct functional and technical analysis.
• Perform code testing.
• Configure projects and introduce new build features.

Your Profile:

• Relevant education or experience in the field.
• Advanced knowledge of COBOL.
• Possess a strong analytical mindset.
• Able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in your work.
• Possess a positive and pragmatic attitude.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French language.
• Willing to work 50% in the Brussels Offices

• Een prototype of model van de ontwikkeling ontwerpen en uitwerken (design application)
• Fasen en procedures van de technische en functionele tests van informaticaprogramma's en -applicaties bepalen en uitvoeren (planning, validatie, ...)
• Behoeften van de klant of gebruiker analyseren
  Het functioneel lastenboek opstellen (specificaties, termijnen, kosten, ...)
• De technische, economische, … informatie en de reglementering opvolgen en actualiseren
• Informaticacomponenten selecteren, assembleren en integreren (programma's, databanken, specifieke ontwikkelingen, ...)
• Een prototype van de technische oplossing realiseren voor validatie door de opdrachtgever (typeconfiguratie, ...)
• Technische specificaties van de informatica applicatie uitwerken en opstellen (lastenboek)
• Een ontwikkeld product presenteren
  Gebruikers opleiden over de geleverde informaticatoepassingen
• Documenten en technische ondersteuning voor de ontwikkelaars, gebruikers, informaticadiensten, ... uitwerken en bijwerken
• Technische en functionele problemen analyseren
  Corrigerende acties, technische aanpassingen, ... voorstellen
• Programmeren in een computertaal: Cobol
• De productie van softwareoplossingen realiseren in een omgeving (servers, werkposten, besturingssystemen, ...)
• Informaticaprogramma's en -applicaties ontwerpen en ontwikkelen
• Programmeren in een specifieke computertaal
