Our client is a company specialized in wood.

Being part of an international finance team you are in charge of the day to day treatment of accounting transactions and preparation of reporting and tax-related activities for the Belgian entity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accounting:
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the company's accounting records;
• Timely and accurate recording of transactions such as bank statements, salary accounting, journal entries, …;
• Supervise the A/P process, perform supplier payments;
• Prepare and record all month end transactions;
• Account reconciliations.
• VAT & Tax:
• Manage the BE VAT filings and intrastat reporting;
• Review the accounts for VAT and tax compliancy;
• Prepare the tax return;
• Assist in VAT and tax audits.
• Month end reporting:
• Process the month end reporting of the Belgian entity;
• Cooperate in the intercompany reconciliation.
• Annual accounts;
• Support to finance manager;
• Prepare local GAAP annual accounts.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• Bachelor or master degree in accounting and tax;
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment;
• Strong accounting, VAT and tax knowledge in an international context;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Can do attitude and self-driven;
• Open minded and pro-active;
• Eager to learn and to continuously improve processes and procedures.
