IT specialist in application operations for core banking systems (f/m/d)

We offer multifaceted tasks

• We need you for this! Perform architecture consulting, formulate and coordinate software requirements, perform operational tests, prepare and carry out deployments, monitor applications, analyze and fix errors... and much more - on various technical platforms for around 60 application systems in the area of core banking systems, the heart of the bank, from accounting to payment and credit systems.
• You take responsibility and ensure the trouble-free operation of your applications - throughout their entire lifecycle. Your applications are both in-house developments in Java and PL1, as well as standard products - specialized market-standard tools. Our platforms are zOS, Windows, Linux and OpenShift.
• You influence change by accompanying the software change! To ensure that your applications fit smoothly into ongoing operations, you create operational requirements and incorporate them into the concept. Finally, you check the result using test cases you have created, which you can carry out manually or automatically.
• You implement the changes by making them productive. To do this, you check the requirements, orchestrate all those involved and carry out the deployments. This ensures a successful rollout and satisfied customers.
• You will ensure stable operation by monitoring the applications using technical means, identifying potential faults at an early stage and rectifying any faults that do occur as quickly as possible in contact with customers and other IT teams.
• To ensure that you always stay ahead of the wave in our demanding environment, we offer you the freedom for professional, methodical and personal development.

What you bring with you

• You have a university degree in computer science, business informatics, information and telecommunications technology or mathematics/physics. Or you are a trained IT specialist, or perhaps you have another comparable qualification.
• Your wealth of experience includes a good understanding of software architectures and knowledge of one of the relevant platforms (z/OS, Windows, Linux, Open Shift).
• You are familiar with the tasks of application operations and the ITIL process model
• Basic banking knowledge is not a prerequisite, but will make it easier for you to familiarize yourself with finance and the working environment at KfW.
• You communicate with customers and colleagues, find compromises, but are not afraid to stand your ground. You also speak business fluent German.
• This job is about smooth software processes and bank-critical applications, so we place a lot of emphasis on precise work, analytical thinking and considered, risk-aware decisions.
