For our client located in Genk, Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant.

Our client, a family-owned business specialized in various domains, is seeking a Senior Accountant for their environmental division in Genk.

As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee your files from A to Z, working alongside a team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the General Ledger for your files with the support of a small team;
• Handling treasury management for the entities;
• Monitoring client payments;
• Making provisions for month/quarterly and year-end closings in collaboration with the Finance Manager;
• Proposing improvements to management;
• Acting as a point of contact for business managers and external auditors for your files;
• Ensuring compliance with all fiscal requirements such as VAT, CIT, statistics of the NBB, etc.;
• Preparing annual accounts with support from auditors;
• Collaborating with the Finance Manager to prepare management reports;
• Entering figures into the consolidation tool for intercompany crosschecks and providing data for consolidation managed by the reporting specialist.

Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or related field;
• Relevant experience as a Senior Accountant;
• Motivated, dynamic, and eager to learn;
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently;
• Capable of handling stress and complex situations;
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with French being a plus.
