  • You will design, implement and support new software solutions for the production of foreign trade statistics, including data quality measures based on SAS
  • You will take responsibility for various tasks in the area of software and data engineering in our teams
  • The central goal of your work is to build efficient, high-performance and modern solutions at the Bundesbank to optimally support the technical goals
  • To this end, you will coordinate closely with the specialist departments in the Data and Statistics division as well as with the IT division at our bank and take infrastructure requirements, IT security aspects and the use of new technologies at the Bundesbank (e.g. use of public cloud solutions) into account in your work

Special values: Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science, data engineering or a comparable field of study or comparable knowledge from many years of professional experience
  • Several years of practical programming experience, e.g. in Java, Python or SAS
  • Knowledge of data engineering, e.g. of statistical systems such as SAS, Hadoop or Pandas as well as databases
  • Knowledge of agile software development methods
  • Mathematical and statistical understanding
  • Knowledge and experience of modern architectures and software solutions in the area of public cloud is an advantage
  • Strong ability to analyze, evaluate and present complex issues as well as communication and teamwork skills combined with a high degree of commitment and independence
  • Very good German and good written and spoken English skills

Remuneration & prospects

Remuneration based on the TVöD (depending on your experience, approx. € 60,000 to € 81,500), future-oriented job in the public sector with reliable working conditions, permanent employment, varied tasks, basic possibility of becoming a civil servant, possibility of continuing an existing civil servant relationship (up to A 11)
