The University of Potsdam is looking to fill the following 2 permanent positions in Department 5, Building and Facility Management, as soon as possible:

Electronics technician for building and infrastructure systems
(formerly measurement, control and regulation technician for building automation)
(f/m/d)

Identification no. 38/2024

The working time comprises 40 hours per week (100%) The classification is according to pay group 7 of the TV-Länder pay scale.

Your area of responsibility includes:

  • Maintenance, inspection and minor repair work on I&C systems for technical building equipment, laboratory and greenhouse technology
  • Carrying out conversion and extension work in the various buildings and facilities according to user requirements
  • Operating and running the automation technology and control technology software
  • Eliminating faults in the entire I&C infrastructure and building automation technology
  • Maintenance of technical equipment
  • Operation of the management level
  • Participation in the on-call service

You bring the following with you:

  • The applicant1 is expected to have a professional qualification in the field of measurement and control technology as well as extensive specialist knowledge of DDC, BACnet, OPC, M-Bus and management software
  • Professional experience in the field of building automation is advantageous
  • Experience in dealing with I&C circuit diagrams
  • Confident handling of programming software for the individual DDC systems
  • Willingness for personal further training
  • Class B driving license

In addition, the following skills are desirable:

  • A high degree of independent, careful and self-reliant work as well as the ability to work in a team are generally required
  • if required, deployment in other trades is possible under appropriate professional guidance
