Among other things, the Technical Team oversees the highly available Eurosystem Market Infrastructure Platform (EMIP), the Eurosystem's largest joint development to date. This is of considerable importance for payment transaction processing and securities trading in the euro area and is operated by the Deutsche Bundesbank in cooperation with three other central banks (Banca d'Italia, Banque de France, Banco de España).

Work of particular value: your work with us

• As part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring operations, incident and change coordination as well as working in Tier 1 SOC support for TARGET Services IT.
• You will mainly work in a cross-central bank EMIP context together with our 4CB partners in virtual teams.
• In various EMIP sub-projects, you will implement hardware components, manage various subgroups and support the IT operations architect in the further development of the operational organization.

Special values: Your qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in (business) computer science or comparable degree program with a focus on information technology or comparable knowledge from many years of professional experience
• Good knowledge and several years of experience in ITIL processes
• Good knowledge of Linux (client/server, network, scripting) including its virtualization technologies
• Good knowledge of the content and interrelationships of TARGET Services T2 and T2S is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the network (TCP/IP, SAN, Juniper/Cisco Networks);
• Knowledge of Windows (Active Directory) and DMZ infrastructures
• Willingness and health suitability to take on scheduled and paid weekend/holiday work, on-call duty as well as work with staggered working hours and (foreign) business trips
• High degree of independence; very good sense of responsibility
• Good written and spoken German and English skills

We expect you to be willing to undergo a security check in accordance with the German Federal Security Check Act (SÜG).
