Plant Controller

Robert Half is currently looking for a driven Plant Controller.

Our client, an international manufacturing company, is looking for a Plant Controller for their entity in Tessenderlo.

As a Plant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of financial management, analysis, and controlling.

Tasks:

  • Execute and oversee the monthly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timelines in financial reporting.
  • Develop, track, and analyze financial key performance indicators, linking them to impact on business results, and providing actionable insights.
  • Possess a strong business acumen, displaying curiosity about our products and customers' needs, enabling better financial decision-making aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize strong analytical abilities to derive new business insights from data, interpret figures accurately, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze production volumes and factors such as productivity, inflation, etc., to adjust the monthly forecast and update it weekly, ensuring precision in financial projections.
  • Report forecasts to the Plant Leader and collaborate with Belgian and US colleagues during weekly forecast meetings, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc Calculations
  • Oversee the plant's entire budget, including preparing annual budgets in Excel (e.g., payroll), and forecasting for new product types, optimizing cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct comparative analysis between Budget vs. Actuals and Forecast vs. Actuals to identify variances and implement corrective measures.
  • Play a pivotal role during internal and external audits, guiding colleagues in compliance matters to establish financial standards.

Profile:

  • You have a Bachelor's/master's degree in finance.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Finance/Manufacturing Excellence roles.
  • You have a strong curiosity about products and customer needs, coupled with a solid understanding of business dynamics, drives your decision-making.
  • You are proficient in leveraging data to derive actionable insights and connect financial metrics to business understanding.
  • You can interpret and link Key Performance Indicators to impact business results, enabling informed strategic decisions.
  • You are committed to optimizing processes, fostering efficiency, and embracing a growth mindset to drive innovation.
  • You are capable of collaborating across diverse European cultures, fostering partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral & written).
